Mutt ado about nothing.

by Syd Briscoe

Waggel: “Shower” - 30s

Pet owners trapped at home with their furry companions during yet another lockdown may feel like they've slipped into a particularly invasive horror film, but this entertaining ad for Waggel puts a cinematic spin on things. The chilling tale follows the exploits of an innocent pooch, whose attempts to shower are interrupted by a feline interloper.

Creative duo Joel Anderson and Mark Dymond draw inspiration from thriller classics 'The Shining' and 'Psycho' to set the commercial's tone, right down to the bathroom design and rapid cuts between bather and clawed assailant. It's lovely work which should please both movie buffs and pet enthusiasts in the audience, all while making a compelling case for insurance against such domestic mishaps.
