Short Films: “Now You Know” - 8 mins

Lockdown receives the artistic treatment in this intriguing Spanish short film. Directed by Rogelio, it documents the filmmaker and his flatmate's journey through fifty days of quarantine - from endless naps to home-bound raves and beyond.

While the voiceover can occasionally veer into try-hard edginess ('fucking' is sprinkled liberally throughout), this film offers a thought-provoking look at how those with a creative temperament have dealt with "a month of Sundays". Will every project that emerges from lockdown be brilliant? No, but they will be fascinating.

Culminating with a rooftop fantasy sequence and covering everything from rediscovering family photos to vintage porn collections, this is a rich snapshot of a unique time. It's dreamy, intimately confessional work which will strike a chord with many other confined artists.
