Tour of the worlds.

by Syd Briscoe

Short Films: “Get Out and See The Worlds” - 2 mins 35s

Art collective Meow Wolf present what they're calling the world's first 'trans-dimensional travel ad' with this intriguing short film. Blending a vintage aesthetic with modern VFX, the film follows a Snowpiercer-esque train on a trip through mountains, underwater, and seemingly across the boundaries of reality. Perhaps this is what Journey meant when they described "the midnight train going anywhere."

Director Andreas Nilsson delivers playful, memorable visuals throughout, particularly when a warning interruption about wormholes lends a nightmarish air to the, er, trip. If you like your giant eggs harvested from trees, space-time continuum dramatically unstable, and third eyes wide open, then this is the film for you.
