Lyft - The Sound of Y

by Syd Briscoe

Lyft: “The Sound of Y” - 60s

Impressive sound design gives this aural collage from rideshare app Lyft a unique character. Firing engines, squeaking shoes, the bustle of traffic... these are the daily soundtracks to getting from A to B. The film smartly draws attention to the pitfalls of urban car ownership versus a near-utopian image of a city designed for people - not cars.

Director's Agent: Spindle
Cinematographer: David Bourke
Sound Designer: Cooper Kenward / Spencer MacDonald / Ian Levine
