Guinness: “Hands (Director's Cut)” - 30s

In 2007, a playful ad for Guinness featured restless hands in full flow. Here, they return to that theme with a lively display of handiwork that celebrates pulled pints.

Scored by Fela Kuti's 'Who're You?', the commercial sees a pair of hands stretch, walk, and dance across a table. Meanwhile, a familiar pint of stout materialises nearby - however, competition is rife after so long away from the pub.

The punchline is well-executed, with an on-brand, freeze-frame finale for good measure. It's a waiting game we've seen many times before from the Irish stalwart, but few play it better.
