Victoria Pile

Victoria Pile began writing for 'Not The Nine O'Clock News' while she was still a student, and went on to become a full-time sketch writer at the BBC before developing her own show ideas.

Vicky - as she is known - was behind the Emmy award-winning sketch show 'Smack the Pony', and BAFTA-winning comedy Green Wing. She has been responsible for numerous other comedy series, and throughout her career she has directed TVC campaigns for many major British brands.

Albert Bartlett
"Girl Talk"
Every aspect of this campaign for Albert Bartlett's new range of frozen potatoes is 'old school' and it has much in common with the new Tesco work. Both are set in supermarkets and have crudely-drawn characters designed to enable short pieces of comedy. In terms of gags and performance, there isn't a great deal to choose between them but Albert Bartlett's commercials have adhered to two old-fashioned principles which are lacking in the Tesco films.
