Spotify "Janelle Monae" Artistic powerhouse Janelle Monae explains her interpretation of Afrofuturism in this fascinating film for Spotify. Spiritual successor to the likes of Prince, Monae is an eloquent speaker whose ruminations on the position of African-American art in relation to science fiction and the future are endlessly listenable - captured lovingly by Daisy Zhou's understated direction.
