Francisco Sendino arrives at Object & Animal.

by Andrew MacGregor

Object & Animal have completed the signing of German filmmaker Francisco Sendino for UK and US representation.

Dusseldorf-born Sendino cites Japanese cinema as an inspiration, particularly Juzo Itami's 1985 food comedy 'Tampopo'. This led to online short film 'Exchange' - an eggy tribute to what Sendino calls Itami's "blunt weirdness".

It's a strong calling card, with the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg graduate always pursuing fresh viewpoints and subject matter. Naturally, the likes of Object & Animal executive producer Dom Thomas are keen to nurture Sendino's inquisitive style.

For now, though, check out Sendino's engaging profile of drug dealer-turned-model and water safety instructor Billy Ray Suggs. As well as flexing his not-inconsiderable muscles, Suggs explains his transformation from 'Psycho Bill' to free-spirited talent with Sendino teasing out plenty of sinewy details.

To discuss Francisco Sendino further, ring Object & Animal's Dom Thomas (dom@objectanimal.com) or Morgan Clement (morgan@objectanimal.com) on 020 3633 7665.
