FRIEND London have completed the signing of India Harris for commercials and music videos. Harris's first love was textile design, which explains why the University of Brighton graduate's films are so vivid and tactile.
She's carved out a niche in the sportswear sector with her bold visuals, while she continues to win admirers in the music industry and throughout adland—not least FRIEND's Luke Jacobs. Their managing director and executive producer says: "We're thrilled to have India join the family. She's been making waves in the industry with her creative and innovative approach to filmmaking and we're so excited to get rolling."
And what does Harris have to say about all this? "Meeting the FRIEND team was like linking with old mates. Their work and roster has always been wicked and I felt like they fully understood my vision. I know we are going to be making some seriously spicy work together. Obviously a no-brainer and I'm so happy to be a part of the family." Speaking of family, one of Harris's recent highlights is a Nike commercial starring Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk. It's a 2-v-1 match between Virgil and his daughters Nila and Jadi, with some lovely interplay between the three Van Dijks. It's a welcome change of pace from the brand (and for Liverpool's beleaguered centre-back!).
