Waitrose: “Concert” - 30s

Waitrose (or Waitrose & Partners, if you're not into the whole brevity thing) believe nothing should get in the way of a mince pie this Christmas… not even a community choir rendition of ‘Jingle Bells'.

Eager to get their chops around the supermarket's chocolate and sour cherry offerings, the choir and their pianist deliver an accelerated version of the festive staple - think a one-horse open sleigh with extra horsepower.

Nimbly staged by director James Rouse, the ad marks a tonal shift for the brand. Monochrome banquets and CG robins give way to something brighter and tastier, suggesting the retailer knows what punters' priorities really are this Christmas.
