All Boxed Up

Very: “It Starts With a Box” - 30s

Online retailers Very riff on their familiar square logo in this well-constructed ad, which connects various important life stages via an assortment of boxes. From moving into a first house to proposing marriage, the ubiquitous shape reminds us that, in some ways, our lives aren't so different after all.

Each vignette is nicely drawn, as life-changing moments are interspersed with more emotionally intimate ones: finding a cherished vinyl record for the first time, attending a memorable party, or simply making a new friend. Thoughtful work from agency St Luke's and director Chris Balmond.
