Cashless Comedy

Tinaba: “Wallets” - 50s

Italian wallet makers are set to have a bad Christmas season if this ad for money transfer app Tinaba is anything to go by. Director Igor Borghi presents a vision of the near future which is either utopia or dystopia... depending on how much you like carrying cold, hard cash.

Wallets and purses are abused in a series of amusing situations, taking the place of everything from dog toys to dish sponges. One is even skipped across a lake, as a final farewell to the notion of carrying physical money - something Tinaba claims to have made obsolete.

It's a delightfully simple premise, executed with lovely visuals and a quirky sensibility which enhances the film's playful feel.
