Think!: “Night Driving” - 30s

Rare is the ad that uses the words ‘limpet' and ‘sphincter' in the same sentence - let alone a road safety one - but that's precisely what we have here. VMLY&R's latest Think! campaign introduces novice drivers to the Road Whisperer - a cross between a driving instructor, a dreamweaver, and The Dude.

This 30" outing sees him materialise before a driver venturing into the night for the first time. As if that wasn't enough for the lad, he has plenty of other hazards to consider post-dusk… but his bearded passenger has one or two pearls of wisdom to share.

Despite his dishevelled appearance, the character's rough-edged sympathy ("When I started out, I had a sphincter like a limpet") nonetheless conveys a key tenet for new drivers: keep your wits about you at night and and you'll avoid any nasty surprises.
