Thatchers: “Race Car” - 40s

Last year, Thatchers used a low-flying hot air balloon to promote their cider. Here, the brand unleash a horsepower-challenged race car and their well-heeled spokesman on the streets and country lanes of Somerset.

As this low-octane rally unfolds, we're told that such foolish engineering will not be tolerated on the Thatcher family's watch… which should come as good news to the country's cider connoisseurs.

The message is attractively relayed through Declan Lowney's sedate pacing and hazy countryside aesthetic, while a gag about queuing caravans will please long-suffering motorists into the bargain.
