Everything to lose.

Subaru: “Parents' Imagination” - 60s

Parental paranoia is the order of the day in this hard-hitting American commercial for Subaru. It's easy to worry about teenagers making good decisions at the best of times, especially when they're behind the wheel of a several-ton vehicle. Despite the incessant buzz of smartphone notifications and alerts, Subaru claim their technology will help keep drivers focused.

Director Mark Molloy doesn't let things get too graphic here, allowing parents to see the potential destruction to their vehicle while the child remains frozen in the moment before impact. It's a shrewd directorial decision and enhances the reminder that ‘urgent' matters whatever they may be, can wait.
