That's a wrap.

Spotify: “Playlist of the Decade” - 87s

Directing duo BRTHR bid to condense a decade’s worth of music into 90” for Spotify, and they make a decent fist of it here. This seemingly impossible task is undertaken by a young man besieged by music fans across the city… and they all reckon their tracks should make the 2010s playlist.

The result is a hyperkinetic hodgepodge of suggestions that cover pop (Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, etc.), rap (Future), and K-pop (BTS). Alas, one man’s vote for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen is several decades too late.

Despite the plethora of high-profile songs mentioned throughout, none actually on the soundtrack. Presumably the costs involved were too much to contemplate. Still, that won’t stop music savants from creating a mash-up in their heads.
