A pile of clothes, jewellery, and other personal items represent the harm caused by coercive control in this anti-domestic abuse film. As a woman's accoutrements are pulled across the floor by an unknown force, a fraught VO reminds us that this type of domestic abuse can be seen as a form of identity theft.

By stripping partners of defining traits, possessions, and separating them from the outside world, abusers can cause significant psychological damage.

The sound of personal effects grinding across the floor emphasises this gradual, debilitating process, and the final shot lays bare the cumulative effects of such abuse in pressing fashion.
