One hundred years of gratitude.

by Andrew MacGregor

Royal British Legion: “Thank You” - 60s

This Sunday marks one hundred years since the end of the First World War - a conflict which saw millions of lives extinguished and countless others irreparably damaged. It also produced many of the things we take for granted in 2018, and this respectful piece for the Royal British Legion gives thanks in starry fashion.

Boasting the likes of Mark Strong, Bear Grylls, and Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts, as well as Victoria Cross recipient Johnson Beharry, the ad reveals how everything from wristwatches to the progression of women's rights can be attributed to the Great War. A simple yet effective tribute to ingenuity borne from despair.
