Nissan: “World of Distraction” - 60s
According to this fun commercial for Nissan, everyone in the whole world is now staring into a screen in the palm of their hands. It certainly seems that way at times, and Tom Kuntz's quirky execution depicts this idea in a fashion which suggests it's actually quite benign.
Nonetheless, we understand the danger presented by this lack of focus. Vehicles move erratically, and pedestrians are asking for trouble as the eyes of one and all are fixed firmly on pixels rather than each other.
The attractive inhabitants of the advertised car are, for reasons not abundantly clear, immune to these distractions. That doesn't, in itself, mean they are not endangered by them, and we must assume that the robustness of the vehicle is really the point here.
