Meet the brain trust.

by Andrew MacGregor

MailChimp: “Brains” - 30s

We meet the brains of the operation in this surreal MailChimp commercial. The e-marketers suggest their online tools are like having a second brain - ably demonstrated by their idiosyncratic spokesperson.

Comedian Fliss Russell draws from her experience as a children's entertainer here. Arch yet playful, her other-worldy performance lends e-commerce a light touch. Distinctive production design draws the eye, too.

The brand aren't afraid to twist our melons - kale dogs and signing prawns confirmed that. This latest series establishes exactly how the company can help online businesses without diluting their zany tone.
