Lexus: Parts and imagination.

by Andrew MacGregor

Lexus: “Extraordinary” - 90s

Lexus like to let us know what their creative sparks have been up to, and this technically accomplished ad strips some of their advanced creations to the core. All it takes is a little imagination… and a lot of moving parts.

Hoverboards, speedboats, roadsters - it's clear the marque's boffins have been busy. Those who fancy test driving the Valerian Skyjet best not hold their breath, though - it's been specially designed for Luc Besson's sci-fi romp, 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets'. Sorry about that.

Regardless, Friend London's ManvsMachine craft an intricate spectacle as nuts, bolts, and - yes - even hummingbirds whizz through the air. Each transition conveys the brand's belief that their engineering expertise can translate across many projects.

Even if punters are still a way off nipping to the shops on a Lexus hoverboard, the ad confidently communicates the brand’s technical prowess - and suggests there are more intriguing possibilities on the drawing board.
