Adventure After Adventure

by Syd Briscoe

Jeep: “Groundhog Day” - 60s

Bill Murray experiences another bout of ad nauseam in Jeep’s amusing Super Bowl tribute to ‘Groundhog Day’. Unlike his character in the eponymous movie, however, adland debutant Murray manages to find a satisfying source of entertainment with which to wait out the ensuing day over and over again: a bright orange Jeep Gladiator.

Murray plays his role to the hilt, embracing the controlled chaos as he nicks the aforementioned critter and makes off with it for different adventures each go-around. The details paying homage to the iconic flick are spot on, and Murray's deadpan commitment to the absurd scenario pays off in spades. We particularly enjoy the final cross-country skiing gag.
