Holden: “The Heist” - 60s

Planning an art heist in the near future? Consider Holden for all your getaway needs. That's the premise of this diverting ad for the Australian marque, which draws attention to their fleet of SUVs.

Scored by Blondie's ‘One Way or Another', the commercial sees a motley crew evade capture after pinching a priceless artwork. Cue plenty of ‘Baby Driver'-inspired maneouvres as the gang ease to freedom… only for their leader to succumb to a case of butterfingers.

Much like his previous outing for Mercedes-Benz, director Noah Marshall leavens an overly familiar scenario with brisk car work and likeable character beats. Mind you, the marque must hope this criminal escapade doesn't attract the wrong type of customer.
