Highways England: Plane silly.

by Andrew MacGregor

Highways England: “Pre-Flight Checks” - 30s

We've all been guilty of zoning out when it comes to the pre-flight safety demonstration. However, this wry ad from Highways England underlines how we'd feel if those in charge skipped those all-important safety checks.

Sure enough, this pilot's non-committal attitude to what's under the bonnet prompts a mass exodus. Still, at least he's given the tyres a good kick.

We like the mixed reactions of the two attendants - the bloke must treat every flight as if it's his last. Switching modes of transport is a clever device, too, reminding motorists of their responsibilities without coming across too dry.
