Businessman about town.

by Andrew MacGregor

HSBC: “Mind Your Business” - 60s

It's squeaky bum time at the Brexit negotiating table, so what better time for HSBC and global ambassador Richard Ayoade to soothe business owners' nerves with this 60" ode to trade.

Like a straight-talking flash of corduroy, Ayoade embarks on a whistle-stop tour of the UK's economic landscape, acknowledging both the good (production lines in full flow) and the bad (shuttered high streets).

Rather than "batten down the hatches", as it were, the deadpan spokesman urges companies to act positive and draw on the advertised bank's expertise. While some entrepreneurs will take more heart from this than others, the brand continue to stand out amidst the doom, gloom, and yet more doom.
