And the bronze medal goes to...

Green Flag: “Who the Fudge Are...?” - 30s

Green Flag once again introduce themselves as the alternative option when it comes to car breakdown insurance. While they are not the AA or the RAC, they're confident that they're able to offer a service which is roughly equivalent… for half the price.

Like their previous work, it has a very quirky tone, and, if it weren't for their price claim, this might undermine the message. Instead, you get a sense of a company which is very confident about the idea that it's almost as good as its better-known rivals and well worth any gap – perceived or otherwise – because of the price differential.

The quirkiness – provided by directorial collective CANADA – has another purpose too: the combination of surreal imagery distinctive voice-over, and well matched music creates a diverting presence likely to make the audience glance up from their smart phones during the ad break.
