Hip and Hands-Free

by Syd Briscoe

GoDaddy.com: “Look mum no hands!” - 30s

This cheeky commercial for website builder GoDaddy takes the rise of hipster niche businesses to the next level. Look Mum, No Hands! is an achingly trendy bicycle repair shop-cum-cafe in London, introduced by comedian and actor Javone Prince - who also brings a lovely comic flair to the ad as he provides all the voices.

With some nifty visual tricks to illustrate the business's growth (and a rather cool hidden laptop compartment in a coffee table), this film offers a slick look at how getting online can help a small company flourish. It's affectionate, tongue-in-cheek work which celebrates rather than mocks the earnest entrepreneurial spirit - Look Mum, No Hands! is a real establishment, after all.
