Glass Animals: “Dreamland” - 4 mins 44s

Needs must during a lockdown... especially when you have a music video to make. Take Colin Read, for example, who was scheduled to film a promo with indie rock band Glass Animals. Suffice to say, social distancing threw a spanner in the works.

Pulse Films’ new signing refused to let public health measures get in the way of a shoot, however, and a new plan was formulated. Cue the world’s first ‘flat-pack’ music video, shot in frontman Dave Bayley’s London flat.

Directing Bayley from afar, Read also provided an instruction manual for Bayley to set up lights, cameras, and even a dolly track. The result is a minor triumph of remote working, and a treat for fans of behind-the-scenes/making-of videos.
