Cheers, Mexico.

Corona Extra: “La Cerveza Mas Fina” - 60s

This zestful Corona film is a history lesson worth sitting through, as the Mexican lager condense their ninety-plus-year saga into one 60" stop-motion animation. As the live-action narrator reclines with a bottle of beer, viewers are treated to a seamless recap of Mexico's cultural, historical, and financial turning points.

According to the brand, such events - both positive and negative - have informed every decision over the years, from the choice of ingredients to a nationwide rollout. It's the kind of information that will have likely passed drinkers by… and the beer wish to rectify this in style.

Cue director Nicolas Ménard's charming stop-motion visuals, as the camera glides through classic movie sets to empty stock exchanges and Mexico's tentative regeneration. While we seem to be spoiled for stop-motion ads at the moment, Corona's is a worthy addition to the throng.
