Cadbury Chocolate Fingers: “Cupboard Raider” - 40s

Cadbury have released this sweet ode to budding friendship as part of their latest campaign. Focusing on the moreish and shareable nature of their chocolate fingers, the film sees a young boy doing his best to connect with someone new.

The only witness to the lad's harmless criminal caper is the cat, who looks on with bemused judgement (as cats are wont to do) when he smuggles some of the advertised biscuits into his bag before the school run.

Director Sara Dunlop has the balance between the boy's cheeky countenance and nerves about making a friend just right, as she draws lovely, subtle performance from her young cast. Touching work with a dash of humour to seal the deal.
