Come fly with us.

British Airways: “Made in Britain” - 90s

British Airways celebrate the quirks which make our island unique in this star-studded ad. As celebrities including Nicola Adams, Olivia Colman, and Gary Oldman board a packed flight, each chime in with their own reasons to love the UK and its people.

The diverse cast detracts from the potentially pro-Brexit vibe of the piece (through virtue of the climate it's released into), as difference and cultural foibles are held up as things which hold us together rather than push us apart.

With frequent shots of the British landscape and reminders of our cultural exports (plus a cameo from the late, great David Bowie), this film offers an idealised love letter to an increasingly divided country - reminding us that we actually have quite a lot in common, despite current events suggesting otherwise.
