Boursin: Films et fromage.

by Andrew MacGregor

Boursin: “Audrey and Alain” - 50s

Boursin launch their sponsorship of Film 4 with these droll bumpers starring Audrey and Alain - two of the most philosophical film fans around.

Rather than discuss trivial matters like, "Where have I seen that actor before?" they contemplate such chin-strokers as: “Can a television ever be controlled… remotely?”

The duo’s comically arch mannerisms and observations are well done, as is the New Wave-inspired aesthetic. Even if we’re not as achingly cool as Audrey and Alain, we can still enjoy the channel’s 9pm movie… ideally with some of the advertised soft cheese.
