Real Thing

by Syd Briscoe

Bondax: “Real Thing” - 4 mins 31s

Lancastrian electronic duo Bondax present their latest feel-good summer single with an intense promo to match. Directed by Ralph Briscoe and Jay Stephen, the emotionally raw film grapples with masculinity and the pressures of self-perception... and dinosaurs, funnily enough.

While the protagonist vacillates between self-loathing and celebration, the track's disco-infused sound provides a lovely counterpoint to the tension. With strong use of lighting which shifts the atmosphere from moment to moment and shades of 'Fight Club' in the narrative, this intriguing promo keeps us watching to the very end.
