Chauffeur, so good.

by Andrew MacGregor

Audi: “Addison Lee Group” - 2 mins 16s

Who better to extol the benefits of an Audi e-tron than someone who drives nearly every day for a living? Thatís the logic behind this collaboration with taxi firm Addison Lee, which follows a day in the life of London chauffeur Alan Meere. Naturally, this cabbie has got plenty to say.

Much of it is - surprise surprise - complimentary about the advertised vehicle, though Meeresís discretion and driving record lends much-needed credence to his words. The fact that heís a mummyís boy, bless him, also takes the edge off the corporate atmosphere.

As well as delivering the human element, director Jonathan Pearson and DP Olan Collardy offer a slick rendition of the capital city - which maintains the brandís air of exclusivity well.
