Try hard.

Aldi: “You Might Like It” - 40s

Despite Aldiís growing market share, some remain unconvinced by the German discounters. Take Anne, for example - sheís got a chip on her shoulder but also the weekly shop to do. Thatís where Come Dine With Me narrator Dave Lamb and a host of Aldi farmers, and customers (plus a certain pensioner-slash-gin connoisseur) come in.

The supermarketís pitch involves whisking Anne from bales of hay to campaign stalwart Jeanís front room - which is now stocked with Seville orange and Persian lime flavoured gin to reflect modern tastes. The result is a lively mix of old and new that sets out the brandís stall for 2020 and beyond - and shows what customers like Anne are supposedly missing out on.
