Tash Tung

London-based director Tash Tung trained at the Chelsea College of Art and London College of Communication, and has a background in fine art and graphic design.

Tung was one of three film makers to receive a grant from the 'With Teeth' commissioning fund established by the London Short Film Festival, and her work explores the relationship between film and music.

Saint Etienne
"Magpie Eyes"
This promo for Saint Etienne is filmed entirely in the new town wasteland of Stevenage (which happens to be this writer's hometown). Atmospheric shots of deteriorating Southern England are accompanied smoothly by the laid back, electronic chug of 'Magpie Eyes'. The sleepy soundtrack gives the small-town landscape a dreamy sheen, bringing a beauty to the urban decay.
