"The Chop"
This short-but-sharp outing from director Jennifer Sheridan offers a wry twist on slasher movies as Halloween edges ever closer. As a doctor cowers on the floor with a scalpel in a dimly-lit surgery, we hear a voiceover desperately try to justify its actions. The sense of dread is palpable, but it's nothing compared to the film's ballsy finale.
