Luis Gerard

Luis Gerard's name may make him sound like a hybrid of two well known footballers but he's not the man to call if you need help completing the midfield diamond in your Sunday League team. No, he's actually a highly accomplished director.

Gerard learned a great deal about directing from hanging around at the small cinema his grandparents owned in his native Puerto Rico and his short films and TVC work demonstrate an extraordinarily cinematic eye.

WORK:
John West
"Knitting"
It's been a while since we've hopped aboard the John West trawler, but the crew remains as eccentric as ever with its gently amusing antics. The elder crew member notes that the boat has undergone a woolly makeover courtesy of the ship's cook. Thanks to the brand's new spreadable range, he can satisfy his crewmates' appetites and his zest for cross stitches at the same time. Some charming production design dotted about the vessel.
