Harald Zwart

Harald Zwart has lost none of his enthusiasm for making commercials despite forging a successful career as a features director in Hollywood.

Hewn from as many countries as the Eurofighter, the Dutch-born Norwegian director of The Karate Kid once told DAVID REVIEWS:

"I always love doing ads and have been making them whenever I can."

This terrific ad from Norway spells out the perils at settling for second best in no uncertain terms. When a young man's new love prepares breakfast for him, he asks if the cheese she's put on the table is Jarlsberg. She shrugs. "Cheese is cheese," she replies. The young man is horror-struck. If she's that indifferent to the best cheese ever, what else is she indifferent to?
