When Beavertown marketing director Tom Rainsford was ruling the roost at giffgaff, he put a lot of the brand's budget towards a big Halloween commercial each year. This wasn't because Rainsford is a huge fan of dressing up and trick or treating – although, as it happens, he is – it was because he recognised that his target demographic had elevated Halloween into the biggest party night of the year.
