James Rouse

James Rouse studied hotel management at university before deciding to follow his creative urges. He started out in the ad industry as a copywriter and worked with Bainsfair Sharkey Trott, Euro RSCG, and DDB.

James' first outing as a director was for The Viral Factory with an ad for Trojan which was extremely well received and won a Gold Lion at Cannes in 2004.

Since signing to Outsider he's directed campaigns with his characteristic straight-faced humour for many big clients including McDonald's, the Guardian, Sainsbury's, and Currys PC World.

Those yet to fly the nest may want to expedite their take-off after watching this latest ClearScore commercial. When housebound Frankie insists he's fine where he is, he slowly morphs into a carbon copy of his father - complete with Noughties flip phone. Such genetic japes aim to encourage more young adults to become financially savvy.
