The work of acclaimed British Asian director Gurinder Chadha showcases the trials of Indian women living in England, and explores the struggle of reconciling traditional and modern cultures.

She is best known for her features which have become modern classics: 2002's 'Bend It Like Beckham' and 2004's 'Bride and Prejudice', among others.
