Daniel Barber

Daniel Barber studied graphic design and designed some memorable title sequences (including those for the BBC Nine O'Clock News) before moving into directing back in 1993.

He's won dozens of awards for his work, recently for brands including Adidas, Audi, and Sony... to name a few of many.

These days Barber divides his time between feature film projects and TVCs. His short 'Tonto Woman' was nominated for an Oscar and Michael Caine has identified 'Harry Brown' - the film he made with Barber as one of his favourites of his own movies.

Ford Mustang
"Don't Go Quietly"
This measured Ford Mustang commercial encourages road rage of a different kind. Set to Dylan Thomas's ‘Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night', the ad juxtaposes frustrating commutes and office banality with glimpses of an orange shape prowling the city streets. Never mind yoga or a stress ball - seemingly a bright orange muscle car is all that's needed to break the malaise.
