Currys "TV Trade-In" When PC World Currys (as they were then) asked Jeff Goldblum to appear in a series of commercials for their 2015 Christmas campaign, the whole industry was wowed by the brilliance of the comedy, but the client was, by all accounts, less enamoured with the approach and, according to rumour, issued an edict that there was to be no further jokes in their advertising. To judge by much of what was broadcast thereafter, it seems everyone abided by the client's wishes.
