London-based creative studio UNIT have added seasoned VFX artists Anthony Chadwick and Ben McIlveen to their ranks.
The double signing adds more depth to UNIT’s already strong proposition: Chadwick has worked on multiple Hollywood films as a lighting whizz, while McIlveen slots into the company’s Flame department.
Read on for more about Chadwick and McIlveen’s new roles...
1. Anthony Chadwick
VFX veteran Anthony Chadwick is well-versed in look dev (or look development, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing), as well as environments and lighting. He now aims to push UNIT forward alongside founder Adam Luckwell and MD Michael Elson.
“This isn’t going to be any old VFX company”, Chadwick explains. “We have a chance to embrace new technologies and methodologies from the get-go and create a very nimble, efficient core offering. I’m so excited to see where we go!"

2. Ben McIlveen
Thanks to the UK lockdown, Ben McIlveen has yet to enjoy a tour of his new office. But the Flame artist has already impressed UNIT co-founder Amanda Luckwell with his "infectious excitement for the industry" and - most crucially - his adaptability.
“Ben has come on board at such a key time for the business as we navigate remote working during Covid-19 and his independent, self-starter mentality is so suited to our new nimble at-home setup. He’s also a really popular character and one we knew our clients would love and want to work with."
