The Visionaries score a brace.

by Andrew MacGregor

Indie director ensemble The Visionaries are pleased to announce the signings of Paul Casey and Toby Meakins.

The move adds extra firepower to MD Corin West's troupe of freelance directors as Casey and Meakins bring their respective talents into the fold.

Read on for more about The Visionaries' latest recruits…

1. Paul Casey

Not to be confused with his golfing namesake, director Paul Casey cut his teeth producing online and TV content before transitioning to commercials. Since then he's attracted interest from brands keen to harness his nimble skillset.

Casey's crisp style served him well on this Adidas commercial, as a young man summons his inner speed demon whilst modelling the brand's signature three-stripe tracksuits. Fast and fashionable, it demonstrates Casey's knack for kinetic scripts.

2. Toby Meakins

Filmmaker and horror buff Toby Meakins flits between commercials, short films, and features to satisfy his love of all things spine-tingling. While he's equally adept at more genial fare, Meakins relishes the chance to spook his audience.

For instance, he was one of four directors tapped for the Mars brand's ‘Bite Size Horror' campaign, with Meakins delivering a canny two-minute thriller that turns an office drone's elevator ride into a nightmare.
