This Friday evening - 19.00 to 20.00 (Doors open at 18.30) at MPC, DAVID will be hosting the first of our Sisterhood Showcase evenings. A number of short films directed by women will be shown with each director then joining Jason Stone for a quick Q&A after the screening of their film.
It is free to attend but you must send us an email if you'd like to come along - please email email@example.com to reserve your place.
Sisterhood? Sounds fun? It will be. It follows the template we established at last week's Evening CraftWorks at the same venue, and that was really successful.
Who's taking part? So far, three directors have been confirmed but there will be more. The three we can tell you about are listed below.
1. Mary Sue Masson
Mary Sue Masson's short film 'Who's The Daddy?' is a comic look at modern motherhood through the prism of a chance encounter at a playground.
2. Dorothy Allen-Pickard
One of the finalists at Homespun Yarns, Dorothy Allen-Pickard's short film 'The Mess' is a moving study of mental illness.
3. Laura Scrivano
Laura Scrivano's short film 'Alice' is a beautiful, meditative piece based on a Noel Coward poem. Like the other directors she'll join Jason Stone on stage to talk about it after the screening.
Tickets are free. But if you want to attend, you must email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place. You may bring guests but it is vital that you only send the names of those who are certain to attend. Places are limited and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.
