Lauren Pringle rocks up at Familia.

by Andrew MacGregor

Well-travelled director Lauren Pringle is pleased to join Familia's equally worldly roster for representation.

Keen to explore new cultures as a budding director-slash-performer, UK-born Pringle moved to Buenos Aries in 2009. It's here where she found her feet as the member of an experimental dance troupe, before throwing herself into directing full-time.

Pringle has since absorbed and blended multiple influences to produce an arresting showreel, drawing on themes such as gender, urbanisation, and cultural differences in particular. Now she's back in the UK, she aims to push herself even further with the help of Familia.

Not one to hang around, Pringle has already opened her Familia account with a brooding, luminous promo for Voice UK winner Ruti. Electric pink hues and woozy camerawork immerse viewers in a late night car meet, with Pringle demonstrating her ability to produce an enticing, tactile atmosphere.
