Acne swoop for Laura Borgio.

by Andrew MacGregor

Acne have bolstered their ambitious roster by signing filmmaker Laura Borgio. Blending digital prowess with traditional storytelling, Borgio has proved herself across TVCs, branded content, and interactive projects.

Whatever the brief, Borgio has the skillset to match. For instance, this clever Highways England film uses hidden cameras to preach function over fashion.

Borgio deftly avoids the pitfalls associated with hidden camera stunts. She draws natural reactions from each customer while keeping the target market onside.

Bringing a story to life in whatever media is cathartic, exciting, and makes me feel alive.

As well as thought-provoking work, Borgio delivers a mean action set-piece. This bullet time effort for Carphone Warehouseo combines slick visuals with a light touch.

As 2017 draws to a close, Borgio eyes fun times ahead with Acne: "Bringing a story to life in whatever media is cathartic, exciting, and makes me feel alive.

"I'm excited to have the opportunity to take my career to the next level with a creative, forward thinking collective like Acne".
