Ian Robertson arrives at tantrum.

by Andrew MacGregor

tantrum's recruitment drive continues to yield results as the company unveil new signing Ian Robertson.

Oxford-born Robertson joins Tobias and Bennett Johnson in tantrum's revamped roster, with the National Film and Television School graduate bringing a tidy selection of work to 73 Berwick Street.

Robertson first made a splash with a series of promos for the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Delta Heavy, and Duke Dumont. This 2013 outing for the latter demonstrates Robertson's nimble approach as well as his arch sense of humour.

Since graduating in 2017 with an MA in Directing Fiction, however, Robertson has added more strings to his bow, shooting a handful of short films and slowly building his commercial reel. This is something tantrum are naturally keen to develop further.

So far Robertson has produced work for brands including IKEA, Paperchase, and Dominos, displaying a particular knack for social media films. His recent ads for the Swedish furniture retailer let him show off his visual flair and pique the interest of viewers and potential clients alike.
